Wine Cooking Tip for Red Wine Lovers

Cooking with wine is a great way to add an additional element of flavor that will accentuate your meal perfectly. One of our favorite wine cooking tips is to make a red wine sauce otherwise known as 'beurre rouge'. Simply warm a bit of wine until it thickens, then add small chilled butter cubes in the saucepan. Let it simmer. As the wine heats up, the alcohol will burn off. The chilled butter will bind with your thickened wine mixture to create a velvety smooth sauce that will taste amazing on your beef dish. Get a classic beurre rouge wine sauce recipe.

Curious about what types of red wine pair with your beef dish? Well, you don't have to go for an expensive bottle. In fact, we recommend a bold Cabernet Sauvignon, a Shiraz, or a Bourdeaux. These big red wines have the spice and flavors to complement your beef dish nicely. Grab 2 bottles of your chosen varietal - one cheaper bottle, then a bottle to enjoy in your wine glass with the meal.

Your new elegant beef dish will make you look like a rock star to all your favorite wine lovers.

Cheers wine friends!
