Game Day Platters and Beer Pairings

While we love our wine here at A Bit of Wine, from time to time we like to take a break from wine and enjoy a good beer. With the Big Game just around the corner and everyone sure to be hosting or attending a party, we have found some awesome party platter recipes and paired them with some of Keith's favorite beer. (I'm not a huge beer drinker, so I stick to the wine.)

Plus, thanks to Keith's love for a hearty brew, we have a selection of personalized beer mugs to support any NFL or MLB team as well as pint glasses any beer drinker would love. Stop by our shop to view more of our bar glasses.

Now, for the pairings! Here are some yummy party tray recipes and a matching beers sure to keep everyone cheering until the end of the game.

1. Easy Salsa Roll Ups - I am a sucker for easy recipes that are yummy. These salsa roll ups will please any crowd. Add a crisp glass of Trader Jose's Premium Lager with a lime and you have scored big with your guests.

2. Hot Bacon Cheese Dip - What is a Super Bowl party without a good dip? Serve this crowd pleaser, then you can relax and enjoy the game with a mug of Hennepin - a Belgium style brew from Cooperstown, New York.

3. Burger Potato Bites - These yummy bit size burgers on a potato fry are simple and classic. Every football lover enjoys a good burger & beer combo. With these one-bite wonders serve a cold Blue Moon with an orange for maximum enjoyment.

4. "Healthy" Buffalo Wings - Super Bowl and wings go hand in hand. As a healthier version to your favorite spicy little wing, we suggest pairing our favorite lager - Yuengling - to make up for any calories saved with this recipe.

5. Super Bowl Whoopie Pies - Dessert is simple with a football crowd. These cute football shaped whoopie pies will please fans of all ages. Kick your feet up with a fruit Lambic Belgium beer, and pat yourself on the back for successful Super Bowl party!

Such a great time to gather with friends, enjoy great food, and drink. No matter who you are rooting for this year, have fun and be safe.

Let us know what you think of our appetizer choices and beer pairings. One last recipe for fun. Would you try this Buffalo Wing Cupcake?

Don't forget to order your team's mug by 1/28 to get it in time for the big game on 2/3!

Cheers!

Katie
